Jig Saw Puzzle
Have you ever seen the movie 'Forest Gump'? Then you know the following quote comes from that movie:
Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know, what you are gonna get.
True. You can choose which piece you are going to eat. It can turn out to be delicious, bitter-sweet, or maybe even outright disgusting.
Pondering upon the day ahead, I came to the conclusion, that life is more like a jig saw puzzle. Every day, God gives me a piece of the puzzle.
Sometimes, I know exactly where it needs to go. Sometimes, I have to look closely and there are times when I don't know where it fits at all. I need to wait and see. Given time, it will fall in place.
Forcing a piece to fit, will mess up the works. God is patient and allows for trial and error. Eventually, we will see our mistake and we may be in a position to correct it. As the days go by, the puzzle grows. No, I don't know what the puzzle is going to look like, when it's done. God does.
A day is like a piece of a puzzle. You never know, how or where it's gonna fit.
It is up to me to seek it, knock and ask for help, when I get stuck. What I do know is, that every piece of the puzzle has it's place and that we all start out with a corner as a solid foundation. One that was given to us freely. :-)
Ephesians 2:20-22
20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
