A Wonderful Surprise

We had a wonderful surprise this past Sunday; our grandchildren were here for a visit. It had been since August of last year since we were able to spend some time together and although they only came over for one day, it was long overdue.

They arrived around 9:30 in the morning and as soon as we saw the car pull up in the driveway, we were waiting at the door to greet them with open arms. It was so good to see them hop out of the car and come running up to us and odd too, because we didn't expect to see the boys with green hair.

Since it was St. Patrick's Day, their dad had sprayed the boys' hair green and our little granddaughter had sparkly, green ribbons in her bright red locks. It was incredible seeing how much they had grown both physically and mentally and our oldest grandson in particular.

He is six years old now and entering the 'big boy' phase. He took his time taking everything in again and demonstrated his reading abilities. Hugs and kisses are girl-stuff and he was rather stingy giving those. He couldn't hide the fact that he still loves receiving them.

Our granddaughter is busting out of her seams with an incredible, strong and fun personality and our other grandson is a great example of the typical, boyish rascal. We all had a great time and the day was over before we knew it.

It was a true blessing and we hope God has many more of those pleasant surprises in store for us. We trust and have faith He has! :-)

Jeremiah 17:7-8
"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Pia,
We wished we could do more, but we are thankful we can do something for you. Praying is a small thing to do and God hears every one of them. May He bless you abundantly, girl!

(((HUGS))) and love.

God's Grace.
