Reaching The Goal
I can not begin to describe the aggravation and frustration that used to well up in me when people would tell me I needed to quit smoking cigarettes. I would remain calm and polite, because I knew it was well-meant advice which was only given out of care for my health and well-being and I really did appreciated that.
What rubbed me the wrong way was that it was usually given by those who didn't smoke and/or never had or by those who had quit and hardly experienced any problems or withdrawal symptoms. Having tried to stop smoking several times, I knew I would be in for a very long, hard battle in order to finally be successful.
Even with the knowledge of all the health issues these tobacco products could cause, and those are a lot more then just lung cancer, I was never able to quit my smoking addiction and I can totally understand, sympathize and empathize when people simply can't seem to find the motivation to make it all the way to the end and fail to reach their goal time after time.
No, I still am not 'nicotine-free', but at least I have reached the point where I am no longer inhaling all the carcinogens which present a health risk to myself and others around me and I consider that to be a step in the right directions. Eventually, I will get there!

Quitting smoking is tough, but worth it. When I quite I went on the patch and whenever I had a nic-fit I'd chew the gum. It worked pretty well and I've been smoke-free for eight years now!

Good for you!
We use an electronic cigarette and that works well for us. Eventually, we may quit that too, but for now it does the trick and cuts out all the unhealthy carcinogens.
God's Grace.
