Laughter Gives Energy

The best way to gain some energy is laughing. For those of you who remember the game show 'Hollywood Squares', here are some funny answers given by the members of the panel.

Maybe the show is not familiar to you, but that should not present a problem. The answers are funny whether you know the show and the panel members, or not. Nothing was scripted in those days; the answers were spontaneous and were improvised on the spot.

Here are some of the questions asked by the host of the show, Peter Marshall:

Q. Paul, why do Hell's Angels wear leather?
A. Paul Lynde: Because chiffon wrinkles too easily.

Q. Charley, you've just decided to grow strawberries. Are you going to get any during the first year?
A. Charley Weaver: Of course not, I'm too busy growing strawberries.

Q. When you pat a dog on its head he will wag his tail. What will a goose do?
A. Paul Lynde: Make him bark?

Q. If you were pregnant for two years, what would you give birth to?
A. Paul Lynde: Whatever it is, it would never be afraid of the dark.

Q. According to Ann Landers, is there anything wrong with getting into the habit of kissing a lot of people?
A. Charley Weaver: It got me out of the army.

Q. Back in the old days, when Great Grandpa put horseradish on his head, what was he trying to do?
A. George Gobel: Get it in his mouth.

Q. Who stays pregnant for a longer period of time, your wife or your elephant?
A. Paul Lynde: Who told you about my elephant?

Q. Jackie Gleason recently revealed that he firmly believes in them and has actually seen them on at least two occasions. What are they?
A. Charley Weaver: His feet.

I hope you got a good laugh out of the answers and feel a little more energized. A laugh a day keeps the doctor away. It sure lifts the spirit.

Another thing that lifts the spirit is counting our blessings and being thankful for them. It reminds us and makes us realize how much we are loved and cared for by Our Father. That by itself is something to rejoice over on a daily basis! :-)

Proverbs 15:15
All the days of the afflicted are evil, But he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast.
