Making Memories

As soon as he opened his eyes he was full of excitement. It was still very early as he got up and went to the kitchen. After he had sat down with a cup of coffee, he realized it would probably take a few more hours before his grand children would wake up, wanting to open their Christmas presents.

The soft ticking of their wall clock filled the room. The Grandfather Clock Wedding Anniversary Present Gift had shared good and bad times with them for over 47 years now. They always loved grandfather clocks and had been pleasantly surprised receiving one of the Howard Miller clocks for their wedding.

Their interior design was entirely based on and around the look of that clock. It would not have mattered whether it would have been one of those mantel clocks, wall clocks, or any of the other New Clocks; it would still have been the foundation for their home decor.

As their son grew up and had left the house, he would always mention how those wall clocks reminded him of the coziness and safety of home and had often uttered the wish to own one of the Howard Miller clocks, Ridgeway clocks, Kieninger clocks, or Hermle clocks himself sometime.

He looked at the large present under the Christmas tree and a smile crossed his face. Yeah, they got their son and daughter in law a grandfather clock. It would fit nicely in their living room on that small empty wall next to the hall door. It would not be long before they too would give their children wonderful memories with one of the atomic clocks.
