A Pain In The Back

About one and a half weeks ago, I decided to do some spring cleaning. Not really very much; just a little here and a little there... which added up in being quite a lot. I have been paying dearly ever since; the muscles on the right side of my lower back have been hurting pretty bad.

I am starting to suspect I may have pulled a muscle without even knowing it. I can not sit for very long and the only relief I get is by laying down, completely stretched out. Applying heat seems to work for a short amount of time, while pain killers don't seem to do much at all.

Yeah, I probably should go and see the doctor, but this hardhead does not really want to. I anticipate she would give me muscle relaxers which would knock me out for the entire day and I don't want that. On the other hand: this can not go on much longer either.

It is obvious I have a conflict here: wisdom against pride. I am not helping anyone, including myself, by going for what I want or in this case 'don't want'. What I want does not really matter compared to what is best and if that means setting my pride aside then I better bite the bullet.

James 3:13
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
