Full Coverage Insurance Savings

If you are reading my posts on a regular basis then you know that I belief that everything happens for a reason. Not too long ago, we were in search of another vehicle. Our old van was no longer reliable for driving greater distances and costly repairs were close at hand; it was time to find a replacement.

Even though we had been looking around at cars for sale in our area and had enlightened ourselves concerning prices on the models we were interested in, by making inquiries on the Internet, we were rather apprehensive and indecisive even. Somehow, we just couldn't swing into action.

Finally, we sat down and made a list of what all we were looking for. We jotted down our wants, needs and how much we were willing to spend and called a friend of our oldest daughter, who is a car salesman. We expressed our desires and by doing so we pretty much shed ourselves of the responsibility and the trouble and left it up to him.

Within just a couple of days, he found us a car which was in perfect condition and even cheaper then we had expected. It suited us to a tee and without giving it too much thought, we purchased it and changed our insurance to full coverage insurance.

We didn't bother to check whether our insurance company was cheaper then any other or not. We had used their services for years and stuck with them merely out of habit. That was not the smartest thing to do, because as it so turns out that we cheated ourselves out of lots of money.

After having compared quotes from several insurance companies, I discovered we were paying too much for our car insurance. We are missing out on several discounts and, even without those, we would be cheaper off with other insurance companies. I suppose the reason for finding that out now is, because it is never too late to switch!
