Easing Allergy Symptoms
We have experienced it several times already these past weeks; sniffling, sneezing and runny eyes. Yup, it is an allergy and we suspect it is the pollen in the air that triggers it.
We are not the only ones. Even my Rheumatologist's nurse complained about it and mentioned how many of their personnel were suffering from the same symptoms.
No wonder, the temperatures have steadily been climbing this past week and the heat is already unbearable which causes pollen to freely float through the air in abundance.
Summer has not even officially begun yet and if this continues, we are not looking forward to it either. There are a few things we can do to minimize the allergy symptoms.
Where pollen is concerned, we better stay indoors when the weather is dry, warm and windy. If we have to go outside then wearing over-sized sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat is recommended; it decreases the likelihood that pollen can get into our eyes and on our faces.
Another tip I found was to wash any pollen out of your hair in the evening, change apparel before going to bed, don't open windows and set your air conditioner on recycle.
I most certainly hope this helps, because we have enough on our plates and to contend with already without all the inconveniences brought on by an allergy.
Oh well, God knows all about it. He will not put more on us then we can carry and those daily worries and concerns will all pass! :-)
Matthew 11:29
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
