Simple Home Remedies

I found some interesting home remedies which I had never heard of and would be worth giving a try when the need arises. It certainly would be better to try these first instead of resorting to all kinds of (expensive) medications, especially since we have many of these 'cures' already within our reach.

Accidents happen and we probably all have ended up with a minor burn at one point or another. Mustard is an excellent remedy for putting on the burned area; it may sting a little at first, but it relieves the pain, while also preventing scars and blisters.

Should you end up with blisters then petroleum jelly will temporarily take away the pain, but applying Listerine three times daily will quickly dry them out.

We already knew duct tape has many uses, but did you know it is also excellent for removing warts and works even better then freezing them off?

By cutting a piece of duct tape a little larger then the wart and applying it onto the well cleaned wart and surrounding skin you can eliminate it. Leave the tape on for three days, remove it, gently rub the wart with an emery board or pumice stone and put new tape on it again. Do this until the wart is gone.

The best way for treating cold sores is lemon balm. Studies have found that lemon balm not only heals these sores, but also keeps them from coming back.

These are all simple solutions which can make a difference concerning the problems, pain, and inconveniences we run into. So is prayer; it is a small, simple thing to do, but has a huge impact!

Psalm 6:9
The LORD has heard my supplication; The LORD will receive my prayer.
