You Are Not Alone
I know from my own experiences that it is difficult having to accept that you will spend the rest of your life with a chronic disease. Acceptance is just the first phase of the process though, but a major one. Once you have accepted it, you will have to find ways how best to incorporate the disease into your life.
I always used to say; learn to live it, instead of learn to live with it. Most people let the disease dictate their life, but it should be the opposite. You can still do almost all of the daily things you used to do before RA or another Arthritis related condition reared its ugly head, but you may not be able to do it without tricks or specifically designed devices.
Those ingenious and helpful devices are readily available, but so are tips, hints, and recommendations from many who have lived the majority of their presence on this earth with a similar condition. They know what it is like and would be more then happy and willing to share.
Even if they couldn't provide you with answers, talking to someone who knows what you are going through is already a huge comfort and consolation. God is not only always there for you, but He is also always by your side. He knows what you are going through, He has the answers, and He will open new doors.
It is a tremendous relief knowing that you are not facing this alone!
Psalm 16:11
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
