More Stress Relieving Tips

We all have different ways of relaxing and letting some of the stress slide of our shoulders. Some enjoy a hobby, other like to socialize and for several it is getting caught up in a movie or TV.

Listening to music is also a great way to let off some tension and, according to a study it may even be helpful during work to decrease the stress and pressure, as long as it is soothing and calm background music.

When you are faced with a difficult situation, like having to make a speech or are about to be engaged in a heavy discussion or conversation, it is wise to start out by taking a few seconds to yourself.

The best thing to do is smile and do the same as recommended before answering the phone; take a deep breath. This will help you to relax and be more in control of your thoughts, words, and feelings and makes the other party feel more comfortable as well.

When your body is relaxed, so will you be emotionally and mentally. Making a lot of gestures with your hands is not helping the cause; it is better to rest your arms on your lap, elbows slightly bend and your fingers almost touching each other.

It doesn't all come down to trying to relax; sometimes a good physical work-out can be very beneficial as a means to relief stress. It would have to be a highly intensive, at least half an hour exercise though to reap the benefits and not everyone is in a position to accomplish that. If you can, then by all means do so.

From experience I know that a lot of comfort and peace is in God and His word. Faith and trust in Him will lift the burdens from our heart and our minds, because everything will work out in His appointed time and in accordance with His will!

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
