Immediately Accessible

When I was at the doctor's office the other day, the nurse asked me whether I took any medications, or not and if so, what those medications were. I dove in my purse, dug up the list with all my meds and handed it over to her.

She was rather surprise, in a pleasant way; it turned out that I was one of the very few patients who carried such a list with me. She mentioned that many didn't even know half of what they were taking and wished everyone would carry that information on them.

I suppose she and several other healthcare givers are not aware of the fact that with just a few clicks all the Electronic Medical Records containing all the necessary information concerning the patient can be pulled up on the computer within just a few seconds.

It not only saves a lot of time and money, but also eliminates errors pertaining to medications, drug interactions and communication. This Medical Records Software also ensures that lab results are handy as soon as they are known, as well as the patient's medical history.

The latter would certainly benefit the patient. Suppose you would have to go to a hospital other then your own or need Long Term Care then no file transfers or faxing is needed; everyone is instantly up to date and ready to start the appropriate treatment.

This state of the art software could turn out to be a real life saver!
