Miracle/Shirataki Noodles

Pastas and rice are high on my list of favorite dishes, but I am fully aware of the fact that their carbohydrate content is nothing to sneeze at. That is why they are not really good for consumption when you are watching your weight or trying to loose some pounds.

I had heard about miracle noodles already a while back, but I never got around to finding out what would be so miraculous about them. I decided to do so this morning and was quite impressed with the results pertaining to their health benefits.

Right of the bat; they contain no calories, no sodium, and are starch, fat, wheat, and gluten free. This makes the miracle noodles or Shirataki noodles as they are also called, ideal for those on a diet, suffering from Diabetes, or Celiac Disease.

The noodles are rich in protein, lipids, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, copper, zinc, niacin, phosphorus, vitamins A, E, D, B1, B2, B6, B12 and water-soluble fiber. They tend to make you feel full quicker and longer, and help your digestive system.

Some more advantages are that the miracle noodles can be used straight out of the bag and since they are flavorless, absorb and enhance the taste of all the other ingredients.

After learning all this I am convinced; they are more then worthy of their name!

They are naturally water soluble fiber with no fat, sugar, or starch, contain zero net carbohydrates and are wheat and gluten free.
