Happy Easter
We don't have to hide any Easter eggs this year, because the majority of our grandchildren will not be here and our youngest granddaughter is way too young to even comprehend what Easter is all about.
Let's be honest, there are probably a lot more people out there who think that Easter is all about the coming of the Easter bunny and hiding chocolate or colored eggs in their yard, but that is far from the truth.
It is about God's Son having died for our sins, so we could have eternal life and who rose on the third day. That is what Easter is; a celebration of the rising of Our Lord Jesus.
Knowing that, those chocolate and colored eggs, an Easter tree, and a bunny hopping around in the yard are totally insignificant.
Sure, it is fun for the kids and we participate in it when the need arises, but what we really celebrate and are thankful for is that Our Lord has risen.
I hope y'all have a very Happy Easter and don't forget the reason for this season!
