In My Prayers
What should have been an enjoyable event and the jewel in the crown of many who have trained so hard for so long trying to reach the finish line has turned into a nightmare. There is no way getting around the horrible actions of those who planted the bombs and the terrible aftermath of the bombs that exploded at the Boston Marathon, and I wouldn't want to either.
Some may not want to call it an act of terror, but to me it is. What does instill more terror in a person than knowing and being shown how vulnerable one is to those who are adament on causing death and destruction? It also rouses anger towards those responsible for it and the desire for retaliation is great.
We don't know yet who they are, but God does and I find consolation in the following verses:
Deuteronomy 32:35
Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; Their foot shall slip in due time; For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things to come hasten upon them.'
And
Psalm 60:12
Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.
I would like to express my condolences to those who lost a loved one and let all those who were injured know that I am remembering you in my prayers. May God grant all of you and bless you with a full and quick recovery, physically as well as mentally and emotionally!
2 Corinthians 4:8-9
8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

Senseless incident. Needless deaths. Innocent injuries.
Audrey,
So true. I suppose those who are responsible for it never considered that you get what you give!
God's Grace.
