The Choice

There are people who are a true joy having around and spending time with. They make you feel comfortable, watch out for you, and care about you. You don't have to ask them to do so; it is who they are. Maybe it is better to say that is who they have chosen to be.

Then there are those who only think about themselves and what all they can get out of any situation and the people involved. They are notorious for making snide remarks, showing disregard and disrespect, and doing what they want without any thought as to how it may affect others.

I don't think the latter are aware of the fact that they don't have to be and go through life that way. I don't think they know they have a choice and if they do then they have made the clear decision to live a self-serving life. I truly wish they hadn't, for their own and everyone else's happiness and well-being.

After getting passed the initial hurt they cause, I can't help but feel sorry for them. They may not realize they will be held accountable for their actions. It doesn't have to be that way. They can change it around any time. How? The verse below says more then enough!

Ephesians 4:24
and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
