One Step At The Time

Just because I am running as fast as I can, doesn't mean that I reached the goal. It means I am one step closer to the finish than I was before!

Can someone lift that weight of my back? Please??? :-)

Ecclesiastes 9:11
I returned and saw under the sun that The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.

Hey there Corry...I was just checking in to see how you were doing.

This speaks so much truth to the societal pressures to go and go and try and reach that goal as quickly as possible. Really, we just need to take things one step at a time, knowing those individual steps are bringing us one step closer to the finish line. In the end, we'll reach the finish line in His exact timing and plan!

Blessings to you and Kc...hope you have a really good weekend!

And, let's keep heading in the right direction. Speed doesn't matter at all. I pray we finish well, Sis!

Cinder,
I know, and no one but us is obligating us to run as fast as we can. Impatience, impatience, grin.

Have a great and blessed weekend as well, dear sister.

Karen,
I join you in that prayer, sweet sis! We may get of the path but even in that we can have faith God will show us.

Kitty,
I fall for it every time, thinking I should be there, turning around to see I only got a little step further then where I was before. It used to be disappointing, but that has turned into gratitude for having come closer to the finish. :-)

Love you too, girl.

God's Grace.

hi, mamu!

yup, that's how we try to do things now. well, not really one step at a time but close to that... one day at a time. it's overwhelming to look at what could be in the unknown future, but it sure brings us closer to the finish line by taking one step at a time.

God bless! :)

Pia,
We don't know the future, but God does and sometimes we even have to go moment by moment. But that's ok, as long as we do it and do it the way He wants us to. :-)

God bless you and Jec, girl. Love you both!

Ryan,
So true. The only way to fail is to quit! :-)

Audrey,
And it's not about how fast we get there, as long as we do!

God's Grace.

That IS an encouraging insight. And it's very true that we put all kinds of pressure on ourselves. I do it because I'm always trying to measure up to those around me. I really need reminders that God doesn't grade us against our peers, but loves us for who we are and who He means for us to be.

Corry...thanks for the prayers. I am following God's path, but I hit a few dirt piles in the process...keep up the prayers! Love ya....

Lenise,
Yep and it's also His opinion about us that matters and not someone else's :-)

Karen,
Good to see you girl!
The way up those dirt piles is slow and painful, but the way down goes fast. Plus... we get stronger with every dirt pile we overcome :-)

I'll keep on praying for you. Love you too, girl.

God's Grace.

Loved the turtle...how we all need to slow down and "savor" each day. I thought of an article title the other day, "I'm Waiting As Fast As I Can!"....still might write it whenever we get through this next little crisis. Thanks for visiting Windows, and for your sweet words and prayers for baby Peyton. Love & blessings to you!

hugs,
Vicki
