Pure Beauty

This rose has no thorns.
No need to be afraid you might get hurt, picking it or holding it, while bending over to smell it. No hidden dangers. No pitfalls. No double or underlying meanings. It's beauty in it's purest form. A fragrance so sweet, it uplifts your spirit. It never withers. Once picked, it will come to full bloom.

This rose has no thorns.
The rose, symbol of love. Love, one of God's great gifts to us. Everlasting, always present, never dwindling.

This rose has no thorns.
They were removed by and even placed upon our Lord's head, so we could enjoy in full the beauty of this gift.

Isaiah 35:1-2
1 The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; 2 It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, Even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, The excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD, The excellency of our God.

I love these thoughts, because I think of the thorns on a rose as "deceit". You reach in to examine the beauty and fragrance, and get stuck...
A rose without thorns is perfection.
Thanks.

Kitty,
Thanks for those sweet and encouraging words.
However...don't sell yourself short here. You may not have the ability to draw, but you have the ability to do the great works you are doing! Now THAT is what I call a huge and wonderful ability!
God blesses everyone with their own unique gifts and abilities, doesn't He? :-)

Audrey,
I am so glad to hear it was not too difficult and I hope Bel gets a real good grade!

Thanks for your prayers and care for Noor, lieve zus. That was very thoughtful and sweet of you:-) We don't know yet how it all went, but as soon as we do, we will let you know.

God's Grace.

Audrey,
Thanks for asking and caring:-)
Very busy, lieve zus. Lots of things that I need to take care off and don't leave much time for blogging. I even haven't had time to catch up with Noor yet. Pat had his last chemo and I pray for his complete healing.

Maaike got her diploma as well and I hope to do a post on/for her soon:-)

I hope all is well with y'all too.
Many blessings to you, dear sis, and many (((HUGS))) as well.

Luv ya :-D

Vicky,
That was so sweet, thanks:-)
