Picking My Brain

I have been nominated with the Thinking Blogger Award by our dear Audrey, and I am pleasantly surprised and very honored, although I don't know what she was thinking when she did that, haha.

I am not much of a thinker. Yeah, thoughts cross my mind practically all day long, but they are mostly superficial. I am very lazy when it comes to thinking about deeper issues. I rather have it done for me. But... that is irresponsible and I have to say, being responsible, even though it's not always easy and sometimes hurtful, especially when it comes to examining and judging my inner-self, I am much happier for it. But I digress and I will save all these "mind-boggles" for another post. grin.

Thank you, Audrey, for nominating me. I am truly grateful, honored and even humbled. :-)

With this award also comes the request to nominate 5 others whom I would think should earn this award as well. Now that is where I am running into problems. I can not think of anyone of y'all NOT deserving this award. Every one of y'all are such great thinkers in your own unique way and are a joy and a blessing to me. Therefor, consider yourself nominated! You deserve it!

As for my thinking... may God strengthen me to let it dwell constantly on His Word, Will and Way.

Psalm 40:17
But I am poor and needy; Yet the LORD thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God.

There you go talking about reeses cups and chocolates . Janice she told me that she was going to talk about castor-oil - rotten bananas and moulded food and she knows that the name " chocolates " tortures me ? Blessings. Ron.

Ron,
I will not mention the C-word again! That was so very thoughtless and inconsiderate of me. If I offended or upset you in any way, then please forgive me?

Now you understand why I was pleasantly surprised to be awarded with the Blogger THINKING award! :-)

Many blessings to you as well, brother.

Audrey,
I was teasing you, lieve zus! hehe. I really am honored and grateful for being nominated by you. :-)

Thanks, girl and I am glad I make you think. I hope it's positive and productive thinking though.

Amen! Thank God for a brain and a mind.

CONGRATS. I totally agree, you are a great thinker. Your thoughts are always clean and fixed upon our Lord. Your thoughts impact me - I either start thinking deeper, or burst out into laughter (some of your posts are cute and funny). Which is why you deserve the nomination. I hope you get the award too!!!!!

Sarah,
That's so sweet, thank you so much.:-)
In case you didn't notice... I nominated all of my blogger-friends for the award. That includes you as well, hehe.
All of you are such great thinkers in your own unique, encouraging way. Y'all should be awarded! :-)

Congratulations, Corry! I like that award.

And thanks for including all of us as being thinkers. I think the only thing I'm thinking today is how my "thinker" is sleepy and needs a Sunday afternoon nap before it can think any more! ha!

Much love - Dee

Dee,
Well, I think y'all ARE good thinkers!

I am glad to hear I am not the only one who needs a nap every now and then. Although for me it's more "now" than "then" these days, haha. I must be getting old. grin.

Many blessings to you!!!

Ron,
Ok, now I am lost! I do not see what you have to apologize for. You yanked my chain to get me thinking...which is good.
You pointed out something to me...which is good.
I saw where I was falling short...which is good.
So now I can do something about it...which is good.
All I can say is: Ron, what are fiends, ehhh..friends for???!!!
(now I am yanking your chain, hehe. Don't fall for it. grin)

Many blessings to you, brother.

God's Grace.

Corry its like this I yanked your chain before I knew what I did Sunday Evening at church ! You see every 5th Sunday in a month we have a sing on Sunday night and fellowship with all kinds of good fingerfoods in fellowship hall ? Well I broke down and eat some "CHOCOLATE BROWNIES WITH PECANS AND CHOCOLATE ICING ON THEM" AND I THOUGHT I WAS IN HEAVEN untill about 1 hour later then my grandkids didn't want me to carry them home ! They thought I was the sweetest Grandpa that ever was ? I just wanted to apoligize for yanking your chain and for not following what I'm supposed to eat ! My innerself just wouldn't have it untill I apologized to you for! Maybe both of us got some of that " WHICH IS GOOD " ? Maybe I'll sleep good tonight . Blessings and have a good week ! Ron.

Ron,
Now I understand, thanks for the explanation. You have my forgiveness! :-)

Ron, we know we will struggle against temptations all our lives. None of us are perfect and we should expect to slip every now and than and it usually hurts us more than others. That doesn't make it right though. Best way is to ask forgiveness and run from temptation when it crosses our path. But I suspect you already knew all this. :-)

I hope you are feeling better. Have a wonderful day filled with many blessings.

God's Grace.

Bro. Ron, I didn't tell on you. You told on yourself. I am proud of you. Feel Better? :0

Corry, I know Ron feels so much better. He had already eaten it by the time I got around to him at the sing. We all know when we submit to temptation and we know what we should do. It sure is hard sometimes. I want you to know I didn't condemn him. We did have a laugh together when he made me promise not to tell you. :) I am sure glad he "fessed up". lol

And please don't include me on your list of thinkers - I keep misreading the title of this post, but it always makes me giggle when I do:

Pickling My Brain

Amy,
I agree with Ron, you are a good lady! Sweet too for looking after him. I can imagine y'all had a good laugh, I prolly would have as well, hehe.

(((HUGS))) dear sis.

Ron,
I am so glad you are feeling better. I hope you understood I was not condemning you either, but trying to be encouraging. I know too well how difficult it is to fight temptation!
Just like Amy,I am proud of you for "fessin' up". Your reputation only got better. Which is good! :-)
Many blessing to you today.

Missy,
Hah, listen to you! Pot and kettle-syndrome! Sorry, you are included!!! hehe.

Hmmm, why you got pickles on your brain??? grin.
