Happy New Year!

I don't know how your past year has been, but ours has been hectic, full of concerns and our plates have been overflowing. It is still that way and even though we do not see any light at the end of the tunnel, we know there is.

We don't know what this new year will bring, but we hope for the best. We know God has ways of working things out even when it is a huge mess. Right now, both our grandsons are staying with son in law's mother and grandparents. They already have their hands full, since son in law's grandfather has to go to dialysis almost every day. The doctors anticipate he will not live very long anymore.

Son in law is home from Military school and is able to help them out taking care of the boys. He will have to go back on January 3rd though and we don't know what will happen then. We understood that his mom and grandmother are already worn out. We anticipate we will end up keeping the boys as well.

I stated 'as well', since we have been taking care of our almost 3 month old granddaughter. Our oldest daughter has been taking care of her during all her days off from work. Now that she is back to work, I see to little Emmy during the day and she takes the night shifts. I take over a couple of nights from her, so daughter can get some good night sleep as well. She has a good job which she loves and does not need to loose it over all this.

Our youngest daughter is staying with a friend, since she has no money, no home and more debt. She says she is post partum and can't do it anymore, but she refuses to seek help and to stay with either her husband's family or us. We don't know what will happen, but like I mentioned before, we anticipate we will end up having to take care of all the three kids. I don't know how we would manage that; they are a handful and we have our work and other obligations to take care of as well.

God gives what is needed when it is needed though and we have faith. He will work things out in His own time and His way. We need to be patient and do what is best for everyone. Even though we don't see a light at the end of this tunnel yet, we know there is a solution to all this.

We take it moment by moment and we have The Light showing us the path through the tunnel and is walking with us every second of the day, guiding, carrying and encouraging us as needed. That is comforting to know and we thank God for all His abundant blessings.

I pray this coming year will be filled with blessings galore for you and your loved ones.
Happy New Year y'all! :-D

2 Corinthians 4:6
For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
