Deployment
Even though we anticipated it from the moment we learned that our son in law joined the Army, it still came as a shock to hear that the date is set for him to be deployed in Iraq.
He is supposed to leave by the end of this week and we are not sure how long he will be staying there. We hope and pray God will watch over him and bring him home safely.
We had also hoped he would have been able to spend Christmas with his children, but it was decided otherwise. At least we are thankful he had vacation earlier this month and they could spend some time together.
It is not going to be easy, neither for him nor for any of us, but we trust God and hope and pray our son in law will find his comfort and peace with and in Him as well!
Psalm 4:8
I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
