Making Life Easier

I know how difficult it is waking up with stiff, painful fingers and hands and not being able to grasp anything, literally that is. It always took me about half an hour to get a little bit of mobility back in my fingers, unless I would put them in lukewarm water which sped up that process.

Back in those days, there were no arthritis gloves available, but if there had been than I probably would have made good use of them. They provide slight compression which enhances the blood circulation, keep the hands warm and still allow for any activity you may need or want to do.

A lot has changed since then for people with RA. Some changes can be found in rather simple, every day items, like tooth brushes for instance. Brushing teeth is a chore if you don't have the strength to hold the tooth brush.

Nowadays, all you got to do is hold the electric device and the replaceable brush does the scrubbing. The wide diameter of the electric tooth brush offers a better grip and makes it easier to hold.

Even the sonicare replacement heads are quickly exchanged without requiring a lot of strength, or putting too much strain on the joints; it's ideal. Yes, life certainly has been made a lot easier over the past decades!
