An Apprehensive Approach
When you have an ache or pain you like something done about it right away, but sometimes that is not always for the best.
I came across an article which warns about immediate action when it comes down to the following ailments:
Lower back pain often goes away by itself in the first six weeks and x rays can be misleading and could end up in expensive and unnecessary surgery. Relate all your symptoms clearly to your physician; it can prevent a misdiagnosis and save you a lot of trouble.
When it comes to bone-density screening, doctors are recommended not to do the routine bone-density test (DEXA) when it concerns women under 65 or men under 70. You may end up having to take osteoporosis medications while it is not needed. Prevention is the best measure!
Annual Electrocardiogram (ECG) Screenings are not needed when the risk for heart disease is low. The test could indicate a problem when there is none and follow up tests could even cause some damage.
Sinus Infections are often treated with antibiotics and in severe cases those can be of great help. In mild cases however, it may not help at all, because a lot of sinus infections are caused by viruses and antibiotics fight bacterial, not viral infections.
There are many situations we encounter on a daily basis when jumping into action is not always for the best; it could do more harm then good. Given time, it may clear up all by itself.
God has the perfect plan, but it requires patience and faith on our part to wait for Him. He will make it happen when the time is right!
Isaiah 30:18
Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.
