Allergy Warning

I came across an article which was rather disturbing and would be good to take in account for the next several months, when you suffer from allergies or asthma.

Due to all the rain we have had, flooding, hurricanes and tropical storms, mold has thrived and will worsen allergies more then ever before. Ragweed pollen is the main culprit for allergies in the fall and the only thing that will put an end to the allergy it causes is frost.

Yup, it can take a while before we could get a good night's frost, because the weather has warmed up quite a bit over the years and consequently resulted in a longer, warmer fall and spring.

When you know you are about to, or already have fallen victim to allergies, there are a few precautions you can take which can limit being exposed to all the pollen and mold spores:

- Remove outdoor clothes as soon as you get in. This will prevent the pollen to float in the air throughout your entire house.
- Wear sunglasses when going outside; it will keep much of the pollen from getting in to your eyes.

Seasonal allergies can be treated well and it may not be a bad idea to see an allergist, especially when the symptoms worsen and/or over the counter treatments and medications are not working.

I hope you will not be suffering much or any at all from this ailment, but when you do then know; you are in my prayers!

Lamentations 3:41
Let us lift our hearts and hands To God in heaven.
