Do The Microwave

Some of us are very susceptible to bacteria and viruses and have to avoid coming in contact with them as much as possible. That is not always and easy task, but anti-bacterial hand soaps and creams are a great help.

Another good tip is to disinfect kitchen sponges. This is easily done by soaking them in a mix of water and white vinegar or lemon juice and heating them in the micro wave on high for about one minute.

This will also eliminate any odors, but make sure to use an oven mitt taking out the sponge; it will be extremely hot and there is no need in burning yourself!

This is also a great method for disinfecting plastic cutting boards. After washing it well, rub lemon juice all over the surface, put it in the microwave and heat it for one minute.

In case you are not sure whether you have enough fresh lemon juice to disinfect or cook with, microwave it for about 20 seconds before you squeeze it. You will get more juice from citrus fruit when it is warm then when it comes straight out of the fridge.

When your Arthritis is playing up and you benefit from heat, the microwave is an excellent source for heating up a gel pack in no time.

You may not have considered it, but there are many more situations, other then cooking, heating and disinfecting, in which you could put the microwave to good use; you just got to be aware of them.

The latter goes for everything in life and we constantly encounter situations where it is essential putting the fruits of The Spirit to good use. Let's constantly be aware of that! :-)

Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
