A Great Loss

Our son in law died last Tuesday. Even though he had been battling cancer for the past 5 years, it came totally unexpected.

Every time, after surgery and chemotherapy, he pulled through and was completely cancer-free, until it returned again the next year and he had to go through the entire ordeal again.

The same occurred this year and even though he had some minor inconveniences after the last surgery, everything seemed to be heading in the right direction again. Last Tuesday however, he got up, fell back and died at home.

The ambulance arrived and they were able to bring him back and take him to the hospital. He was stable when he got in the ambulance, but died about 45 minutes later in the hospital. They suspect his heart simply gave up. He was only 31 years old.

Our daughter is strong and holding up well so far. Please, remember her in your prayers. May she find the same peace, comfort and strength in God as we do. Thank you!

2 Corinthians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

Amanda,
She is holding up well right now, but she is fully aware it hasn't completely sunk in yet. We pray, when it does, she will find comfort in God.
