Life's Surprises
Life is full of surprises and you never know what lies behind the corner, or to quote Forrest Gump: "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
The advantage of a box of chocolates though is that after you take a bite and don't like it, you can dispose of it and move on to the next. That is not the case concerning the situations we encounter during life; we can't toss them aside and they don't go away by ignoring them and pretending they don't exist.
We don't do that with pleasant surprises, but not everything that comes our way is pleasant and/or enjoyable, as I found out last week. I had gone in for my annual mammogram and was called the same day to come back for some more tests, because they had found a disturbance.
I was blessed not to have to wait very long and was be able to go in the next day, where they found out the 'disturbance' was nothing but a raised mole on my skin which had increased in size over the past year. I can not tell you how relieved and thankful I was to hear that.
Yes, I will have the mole checked out sometime soon, since it is better to be safe then sorry, but I would also like to say thanks to all of you who remembered me in your prayers. God is good. To Him be the glory!
Philippians 4:20
Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
