Castor Oil Part 2

There are many more topical uses for castor oil and for smaller areas and treating skin problems you can suffice by putting some drops of castor oil on a cotton ball and applying it to the skin in the mornings and evenings, or soaking a Band-Aid in castor oil, placing it on the infected area and letting it sit during the night.

The only internal use I found for castor oil is to treat constipation and gastrointestinal problems. Even though it is also mentioned that it can strengthen your immune system, you have to be careful when resorting to this remedy; it is not without any dangers, since it is a very strong laxative and should not be used for more then 3 days and without consulting your doctor first.

Carefully follow the instructions on the package; an overdose can do more harm then good and can result in diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain or cramping. Pregnant and nursing women do better to abstain from it all together and always ask your doctor first before giving it to small children.

In case you come around raw castor beans or leaves of the castor plant, be careful: they are poisonous and can make you sick, but the poison is strong enough to kill a child.

When used internally, ensure to buy it from a store which specializes in health foods and make sure it says cold-pressed or cold-processed oil on the label. Supermarket brands are mainly manufactured for other uses and are not fit for consumption. In case of doubt, ask a doctor who is knowledgeable where it concerns naturopathy.

There may be many other areas in our lives where we doubt and don't know what to do. It is always beneficial to turn to God. He is knowledgeable in everything and will give great guidance in His appointed time!

Isaiah 28:29
This also comes from the LORD of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.
