Lord, Have Mercy!
Going by the blogs I read a comment and ended up at Rebekah's Site , a personal diary about a 3 year old little girl with inoperable cancer and all she and her family are going through. I would like to ask all of you readers to go there and offer your prayers for this little girl and her family. I warn you though, it is heartbreaking, but they need all the prayers and support they can get:-)
Just as heartbreaking to see the starving little children in Africa. Their small bones so clearly defined under their skin, their large eyes so innocent, not knowing what is happening. And their mothers, holding them in their arms while they are dying, sparing every bit of food they can find to feed their children just to have them survive for a few more hours or days. Extending the inevitable. How desperate and frustrated they must be. How their hearts must cry out for mercy and grace for their babies. They too need our prayers, so please, remember them as well.
Children are a blessing given by God, and so innocent. Yeah, there are few times that we parents, like to pinch their little heads off, but those moments pass as quickly as they come:-) We love them and we do all we can to keep them save, watch over and out for them and care for them. We try to give them all they need and if possible and within God's limits, what they want as well. But sometimes we can not prevent, no matter how hard we try. It breaks our hearts to see the little ones suffer and we being unable to do anything about it. Neither to take away their pain nor their suffering, no matter how much we would want to. Only one thing sustains both parents and child in that situation: PRAYER!
We don't know why God allows the suffering of the little ones, or any suffering at all for that matter. But we do know He hears every prayer. So please, before you move on, say a prayer for them? Even if it is just a little one:-)
Mark 9:37
"Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me."

Lord, I know You hear the pleads from our hearts, please have mercy on this little girl.
It is heartbreaking, isn't it Corry? I've been keeping track about every other day. Much to pray for regarding Rebekah and her family. I will continue to go before the throne on their behalf.
I went to their website and read through some of their posts and it is quite moving. I'll be praying for them all, too. Such things in life are so difficult to understand. Only my deep faith in God sustains me in such times. Without Him there would be no hope.
Dee:
Thank you Dee, every prayer helps.
And I totally agree with you: There is no hope without Him.
Thanks for dropping in and commenting:-)
God's Grace.
Corry, I stand with you in prayer for this family. I am so glad I can rest in the Lord and know beyond doubt that He has it all under control. I also rest in the promise that everything works to good for those who love the Lord according to His good purposes! Amen.
Gina:
I know the Lord can turn a mess into gold, although I do not understand why He allows this to happen and what good can come out of it, He knows and I have faith:-)
God's Grace.
A friend and I were just visiting today about how when we aren't spending time in the Word and in prayer we seem to get lost in our God given mission of caring for our children. I will have to share with her this post!
Thanks for the encouragement.
Jaime:
I get encouragement from your visite and comment and in the fellowship of prayer. Thank you so much.
God's Grace.
That's too heart-breaking for me right now... I'll have to pray in ignorance.
Lenise:
Your prayers are heard by God anyway:-)
God's Grace.
we don't have all the answers with us and some questions will remain unanswered. God is the only hope we have. and what a comfort to know that nothing is impossible with Him.
i stand in you in prayer for rebekah and her family.
Pia:
That is the greatest comfort!
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
God's Grace.
PLease Pray for little Rebekah RIGHT NOW. She is in surgery and not doing well at all.
God is good (and Big enough)
