Anguish

The body in it's present state
Every fiber trembling with fear
The mind carrying this heavy weight
The end is slowly coming near
The soul in despair and torment
From all it's depths cries out the heart
In sheer terror of Your judgment
"You worker of iniquity, depart!"

Without ceasing trying diligently
To enter that narrow gate
Constantly failing miserably
But not giving up on faith
Lord help me, for I perish
The need for change so fervent
For all I seek and relish
"Well done, good and faithful servant!"

Deuteronomy 13:4
You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.

You are a poet!

I like the way you put these words together. Sounds like God working on our sanctification.

Hi Corry. That's a little bit of how I felt last night. Well not like the whole thing at that time but like a tablespoon of it, that kept annoying me, as I kept thinking over and over to myself about casting my burdens on His back. Life is hard. Those with a lot of faith have a lot of pain, plain and simple I think. Just like Jesus. He is our example and our glory. We'll be there soon. Keep looking up. "...hold fast to Him..".

Our Lord is embracing us with much love and grace.

Please take care, Corry :)
Good night sister.

Karen:

Thanks! I have do some bright moments (grin).

Andrea:

Maybe we all feel like that from time to time. For me, it seems bad, but isn't. It's becoming aware, admitting, accepting, judging myself and learning, so I can change what still needs to be changed in order to serve Him better. And I hold on to Him, for I can not do it alone:-)

Audrey:

Thank you so much for the verse:-)

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

God is loving, merciful and gracious. As you always say: Jesus loves us:-)

I am doing fine, sis:-) Goodnight to you as well. Sweet dreams!

Pia:

Not all that hurts is bad. It's needed to go through the hurt to get to the healing. The Lord is my shepherd:-)

God already blessed me so much. Y'all are part of His blessings:-)

Luv y'all

God's Grace.

Just curious. Have you looked into oligomeric proanthocyanidins? (OPC's for short) I've heard they are helpful.

Dear Corry...I don't know what to say, I'm so humbled. Your poetry is beautiful.

Also, your relationship with God has led you to me and because of the relationship that you’ve worked so hard to keep I’ve been given a daily dose of a peace of mind that only God can bring. I read your words and for a moment I feel Jesus sitting next to me emanating such sweet pure love that I’m wrapped in something mere words can’t express.

Simply put, Thank You!

Welcome and thanks for the comment.

I only had a quick look. Seems like there is a lot more research needed on it to give anything concrete but I might dive deeper into it.

Maryrose:

You are too kind:-)

I am grateful you feel God's love. He is all around you, girl! You are never alone.

Love you!:-)

God's Grace.
