Little Baby, Great Blessing

Yep, we are grandpa and grandma!!! :-D

Raymond Casey was born on February 8th, 2007 at 3.40 pm. He will be called Casey, which is a great honor to us. His weight: 7 lbs and 4.5 oz and he is 21" long.
April had to have a C-section, because there was no change in the dilation for too long. Both mother and baby are healthy and doing well.

Casey is such a beautiful, little baby ( I guess all parents and grandparents say that, haha), although he may not be that little. His feet didn't fit on the inkpad and they only got half of them, including his little toes. That prodded one of the visitors to call him Mr. Bigfoot. No, his name is Casey!!! :-)

I had wanted to make this post earlier and include some pics of our grandson, but both Opa and Oma (Dutch for grandpa and grandma, hehe) were so thrilled and eager to visit and hold the little critter, that each time we went, we forgot to bring our camera and when we did... the batteries were empty!!! Arrgh. But finally... here he is!!!

Thank y'all for your prayers, those sweet comments, cards and e-mails. They warmed our hearts. We were grateful to be able to share this blessing with all you brothers and sisters. You are and have been a blessing to us. :-)

Thank You, Father, for watching over both mother and baby, for their health and well-being and most of all, for this wonderful blessing. May You guide and lead him to grow up to be a man after Your heart.

Luke 2:40
And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.

Congratulations!!!! He's precious, of course =]

It sure is nice when they're so small they don't get ideas about squirming out of your arms. On the other hand, watching them learn how to clap is fun, too!

Ron,
Yeah, we have the joys but not the burdens. And as far as your grandkids being prettier than the rest... I totally sympathize and emphasize, hah! :-)

Lenise,
He is already squirming! He doesn't like to lay against your shoulder and is trying to push his little head up to look around. Only then he seems to be content.
But yes, I am looking forward to watching him learn to clap his hands and Kc jokingly says he can't wait to teach him how to spit, haha.

Audrey,
Happy Valentine's Day to you as well, lieve zus!!!

I can't help it, but he seems to get cuter by the day. grin.

(((HUGS)))

Karen,
We are grateful too everything went so well.
And I already love being Oma! :-D

Jel,
It's entirely our pleasure to be able to share the pics. You are prolly gonna see many more. :-)

(((HUGS))) to you dear sis.

This is so funny.

Blogger is getting cranky sometimes nowadays.
Oh well...
Just need to be more patient and try again another time.

Til then, luv ya!
