Back In Yard
Our dog finally decided to return home. Last Sunday late afternoon, we found her laying in the shade of our oldest daughter's car.
She had tried to dig her way back in the yard through the same hole as she got out, but I had already plugged it up. I apparently had done a good job of it because she couldn't get in which also means she can't get out either. At least not at that same place.
She sure lived up to her name. In case you wonder what prompted that; the thought 'what's in a name' crossed my mind. For at least five days she had been Missing In Action. The abbreviation for that is MIA and that is exactly our dog's name. No, I am not kidding you!
After searching, hoping and praying, she found her way back home and is patrolling the yard and guarding the house again. I suppose we should hang a sign on the fence with the following warning: Beware: MIA!!
In this case, the abbreviation would stand for: Mutt Is Alert!
Once again God showed us that He hears and answers prayers. I prayed He would keep her safe and if it was in His will, to lead her back home. If it was not in accordance with His will that she would come back, I asked Him to keep her safe and lead her to a home where she was loved and cared for.
He watched over her, kept her safe and led her home, where she is loved and cared for. God even let us know she was home. He instilled a sudden urge in Kc to open up the blind (which was closed to keep the sun from heating up the house) and let some light in. That's when we saw Mia.
Yes, God hears and answers! :-)
1 John 5:14
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
