Missing From The Backyard

The day after I did my post on our backyard menagerie, our dog decided to be no longer part of that spectacle. She found a hole under the fence and went on her merry way.

We found out she was gone a few hours later when I stepped out to feed her and saw no signs of our four legged friend, no matter how loud I called out for her.

She has gotten out of the fence several times before, but would always be either very close to the house or a couple of houses down, hanging out with a pack of neighbor dogs. Not this time though.

We checked there, drove around with the hope we would spot her somewhere, but all in vain. This morning, Kc heard her bark in the distance. He called, whistled and called again. We hoped she would show up, but up on till this moment she hasn't.

She may still come back, we surely hope so. In the meantime, we pray she will be okay, secure and not get run over. Even though she is just a pet, she is loved and we trust God will watch over her as well and keep her safe.

Job 11:18
And you would be secure, because there is hope; Yes, you would dig around you, and take your rest in safety.
