A Positive Attitude

We all are probably familiar with the expression: 'When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade'. In other words; you make the best of and with what you got.

A positive attitude is the key to everything. It makes pain more bearable, problems are not as major as they seem and life is much more enjoyable. I know; it is easier said then done, but if you don't try then you may miss out on so much.

When pain is reigning your life, try not to let it knock you down. Set small goals every day and do it on your leisure. An example: instead of vacuuming the entire living room, set the goal to do a particular area and leave the rest until tomorrow or another day. You will get the satisfaction of having accomplished your goal which is encouraging.

Don't worry if you don't get even that part done. Instead of getting depressed about it, praise yourself for having done what you did and keep on trying. The more you take on a positive attitude and put yourself in an encouraging frame of mind, the easier it becomes.

Focus on the good things. You can count your blessings and rejoice in them. You can be encouraged that God will always see to all your needs. You can have faith that God has the perfect plan for you. You can trust that God has only your best in mind!

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
