Take A Whiff

My suspicion is that we all heard of aroma therapy and although I have not given it a try, it now is scientifically proven that different fragrances and scents have a certain beneficial impact on us, physically, mentally and/or emotionally.

Take grapefruit for instance; researchers found that the smell of this citrus fruit reduces your appetite and hence your meals. In order to get the desired effect, sniff a grapefruit, or grapefruit oil, for 15 minutes at the time, with intervals. Do this three times a week and you should loose weight.

In order to stop the craving to eat, you ought to smell a green apple, a
banana, or peppermint. These scents take away the urge to eat in between meals and therefore contribute to weight loss.

Peppermint also has a stimulating effect on your exercises and increases alertness, improves your mood and takes away tiredness. So does Eucalyptus, but another advantage of Eucalyptus oil is when applied to the skin it relieves muscle aches, due to its anti-inflammatory abilities.

Lavender can give you a much more recuperative sleep. The sweet fragrance has proven to prompt a deeper and better sleep and and you will wake up more energetic in the mornings.

There are so many different fragrances and I am quite sure there are many more scents with beneficial properties. If you know any please share, so we all know what to take a whiff off and when.

Everything happens for a reason and God has given each of us our own abilities and traits. He knows when you are in need and what you need and He ensures the right person will cross your path at the time God has appointed!

2 Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
