Getting Out

We decided to get out of the rut for a few days by taking a short vacation and paying a visit to an uncle up north, enjoying the company, the colors of fall and doing some exploring and sightseeing.

After our arrival, we enjoyed a beautiful boat ride, dug up some dinosaur bones from a Mesosaurus, found gorgeous slate and explored an old Native Indian cave.

The next day we headed out to Little River Canyon. It was incredible; the trees displayed an abundance of amazing colors. The hills in the area and the mountains at Little River Canyon presented us with uncanny and astonishing views.

We stopped to grab lunch and continued our explorations to two museums, where we admired many old artifacts and an amazing collection of mounted animals. We could have spent much more time there, but we were getting pretty tired and decided to take the scenic way home.

There is much more to see and do and our uncle already has a list ready of things he wants to show us, the next time we come over. We are looking forward to it and hope to be able to do that soon.

Even though we were gone for just a few days, it seemed like we were gone for a week. We did so much in such a short amount of time and every bit of it was exciting and enjoyable; we had a great time from the moment we left home, until the moment we got back.

God truly blessed us and watched over us during our trip. We were humbled and thankful for the time we were able to spend with a dear member of our family and for all the beauty of God's handiwork which we encountered on our way!

Psalm 30:12
To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
