Arthritis Gadgets Make Life Easier
When it comes to (Rheumatoid) Arthritis, it is not so much about what you do, but how you do it. One thing that is unacceptable is NOT doing it. Even though the pain may be a good and valid excuse to forgo your daily chores, my recommendation is to do them anyway.
There are several reasons for that. The main reason is that it will keep up the strength of your muscles for which you will be grateful after a flare-up has passed. I discovered very early on that after each flare-up my strength had diminished tremendously and it was extremely hard to regain it.
Other good reasons are your self-esteem and self-confidence. Small daily chores which you normally wouldn't think twice about have turned into huge mountains to overcome. You will get a great deal of satisfaction and accomplishment out of tackling and doing them.
Taking the time are the keywords here. There is no rush or time-limit and if there is then it is mainly your own doing. Simply take all the time you need to do the task at hand and look for items and products which make life a little easier.
There are plenty of gadgets which allow you to maintain the life you had before Arthritis as much as possible. They are not very difficult to find and often rather inexpensive too. It all boils down to working smart, not hard.
The problem may not be whether you can or can not do it. It may be a matter of persistence, commitment, and perseverance. Help is not difficult to find; God is always there to see you through even the most difficult situation!
Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.
