Impeccable Timing

It is early Saturday morning. We are sipping our coffee at our leisure and are under the impression we have a quiet day ahead of us. The only thing we have planned is to run one errand, but we are in no rush and we can even put that off if we want to.

Several hours go by in peace and harmony until a few minutes after 10am. Our youngest daughter calls. We hadn't heard from her for a while and made plans to baby-sit our granddaughter tomorrow. That was all we got around to; making plans which wouldn't come to fruition.

While on the phone with her, our ex-son-in-law calls. They are coming down for the weekend and he asks if we would like to keep the kids. Of course we do. We are thrilled being able to see our grandkids. They will be here late this afternoon and be leaving again tomorrow.

All of a sudden, the day turns helter-skelter. There are so many things to do while getting ready for the children to arrive. Putting their toys out, seeing to the sleeping arrangements, and how are we where our food and snack supply is concerned?

What we thought would be an uneventful weekend turned into a very busy but extremely pleasant surprise. It all seemed to happen at once, but we are not complaining by any means. We know God has ways of working things out and His timing is always impeccable!

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
