A Point Of View

While we are taking care of and focused on getting healthy and well, or at least as best as we can, we might as well address all the other health issues which were already known before this last episode took place.

Both of us are in desperate need of a pair of eyeglasses. Kc will have his first pair and the ones I am wearing right now need to be replaced, since they are already several years old. We are trying to find a good Optometrist for a prescription, but we haven't decided yet who to go to.

Everything for a reason though; I just found out that many of the eye care professionals don't want you to know your own PD (Pupillary Distance), which is the distance between the center of the pupils of both eyes in millimeters.

Why don't they want to give your PD? The reason is actually very simple; by withholding that information, they are preventing you from ordering cheap, affordable eyeglasses online from ZenniOptical. The latter needs these measurements in order to guarantee your glasses will fit properly.

My point of view is that we have every right to know our PD and we definitely have every right and freedom to choose where to buy our own eyeglasses. It is good being aware of what is going on, surrounding this matter though; I will ensure asking for our PDs!
