Feast Or Famine
I know full well that God works in mysterious ways and that I shouldn't even try to understand why things happen as they do, but sometimes I can't help but wonder what His plan is.
Let me explain; we usually don't get many visitors and the likelihood that extended family is coming over for a visit is next to none. It is usually just the two of us and occasionally one of our grandchildren who is staying with us, or one of our daughters coming over for a visit.
All of a sudden, out of the blue, an uncle calls; he is only a few streets away and on his way for a visit. We had a wonderful time!
Our youngest daughter and our grandchildren moved back in with us this week and although that happened several times before, we are grateful for the time we are able to spend with all of them.
We got an e-mail from an aunt and uncle overseas, planning a visit to another aunt in Canada and hoping to be able to come and see us as well.
A niece and several Internet friends were/are getting married soon and invited us to their wedding. Even though a few are living across the world and we probably will not be able to attend, it is heart warming.
No, I am not going to try and figure out what God's plan is; I am just going to enjoy it and rejoice in and be thankful for all His abundant blessings! :-)
Psalm 107:8
Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
