Heat and Exercise

A word of caution to all of you who like to exercise outdoors; with this heat, it may not be wise being active, because you may end up with a heatstroke before you even realize it.

It is already recommended drinking at least 8 glasses of water during the day, but it is essential taking in that amount and even then some when you are or have been busy working out.

A good way of knowing whether you are properly hydrated is weighing yourself before and after exercising. It so turns out that one pound of weight difference means you lost about 16 ounces of water.

It is good to tank up before you start. That will allow your body to maintain a good temperature, help the heart to keep a steady pace and decrease feeling exhausted before you really are.

We need to stay hydrated, but that does not just pertain to our body; it goes for our spiritual life as well. Let's soak up God's word as often and as much as we can. You will be astonished what a difference it makes! :-)

John 7:38
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
