A Happy And Blessed New Year
We are at the start of an entirely new year and although the majority of people are looking forward to it, there are many who are not so happy with the outlook on having to spend another year dealing with and in pain.
RA and Arthritis patients totally depend on pain medication to do its job. This doesn't always work out so well and once they were able to struggle through the day the night arrives. The latter often presents sleeplessness due to even more pain.
Nope, there is no rest for the weary, but there is hope. I read in BBC News that an international team of researchers have found over 40 new areas, or genetic clues in DNA as they call it, which increase the risk of rheumatoid arthritis.
What this means is that these findings can lead to developing new medications which will not only treat the disease much better, but could eventually lead to a cure. This discovery could not only benefit RA patients, but also those suffering from diabetes, coronary heart disease, and even Alzheimer's.
There is still quite a way to go to before those medications are developed and will hit the market. Therefore the results of this study will not benefit you right away, but hang in there; it will in the long run.
You may not be in a position where you can ring in the New Year all healthy and well, but you can always start it with hope, faith, and the assurance that God will always give us what we need.
