Be Cautious With Energy Drinks

I came across an article which prompted some concerns especially for those among us who like to reach for an energy drink. A study has shown that consumption of these drinks, which usually contain high amounts of caffeine and taurine, could alter the function of the heart.

It has been shown that an hour after consuming one of these energy drinks, the left chamber of the heart displayed a substantial increase in contractions. This could potentially lead to heart problems or present an increased risk for those who already suffer from a heart disease.

It sure is something to keep in mind before you decide you could use an energy boost and reach for one of those drinks. Your fatigue is the body's response to circumstances and situations and it is there for a good reason. It may indicate you need to slow down and rest up, or it is a reaction to an underlying health problem.

It has a purpose, just like everything else in life which happens for a reason. We may not always understand it, don't always know what to do, and even may feel like we are left in the dark. We are not; God has all the answers and will gladly and lovingly guide and lead us every step of the way!

John 8:12
12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
