Steak At Stake?

People are considered to be omnivores. What that means is that they are no picky eaters and like to consume meat, as well as fish, vegetables, nuts, and fruits.

I truly enjoy a tasty steak, pork chop, piece of chicken, burger, etc. Without it, my meal is not complete.

I sure wouldn't make a good vegetarian and that is probably why that life-style never appealed to me. There are a lot of advantages to being a vegetarian though; it is said cutting out meat entirely from your diet will drastically lower the risk of heart disease and cancer.

It all depends on what kind of meat you consume. There is no doubt that fatty cuts raise the dangers of ending up with the above mentioned illnesses. That doesn't mean you have to abstain from meat all together.

The recommendations are to choose grass-fed beef over any other kind, because it is lower in fat and the fat it contains is the good kind. It is also richer in omega 3s.

Should you decide to cut meat out of your daily diet, ensure to bring variety to the table. You need your proteins, vitamins and minerals and it would be easy to end up with a deficiency.

As I mentioned before, I appreciate a good cut of meat on my plate. God said we could eat it and as far as I am concerned; I trust Him. I know He only has our best in mind!

Deuteronomy 12:15
"However, you may slaughter and eat meat within all your gates, whatever your heart desires, according to the blessing of the Lord your God which He has given you; the unclean and the clean may eat of it, of the gazelle and the deer alike.
