Blonde Moments

"With age comes wisdom" is an expression often used. I think the older we get, the more experience, which leads to learning and therefore to gaining a certain knowledge. The real wisdom, in my humble opinion, is in the Bible. Even at a very young age that wisdom is accessible. Do we understand it when we read it? In God's time:-) I often find myself reading something I had read several times before and suddenly get the full meaning of it. I guess God decided it was time for me to understand then, and not before.

Many times in life I find myself in a state of total blondness, haha. Hardly any amount of reasoning and/or explanation makes sense and after a looooong time I finally get it, just to find myself in total oblivion again a few moments later. Aggravation galore! I know we will never know and understand it all in this life. And what I don't understand, I have to accept in/by/through Faith. Bang... that's hitting the nail right on the head! Why do we often make it all so much more difficult by not accepting what we don't understand, instead of doing it the easy way and just have faith?

I won't use "being blonde" as a justification, but... Do blonde moments fade as your hair turns grey?

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Good Post. I their is a saying,"don't worry about what you don't comprehend, but do apply what you do comprehend from God's word." God Bless You.

Well, Corry, I went straight from blonde moments to senior moments... I don't see much difference. Sigh...

Good post!

Hi Corry. I've appreciated your comments on my blog, and decided to come over here for a visit!

I really understand the "finally getting it" feeling. I have been around Bible teaching my entire life, and there are still so many things I don't understand yet. Sometimes I'll read the same passage several different times, and get something different out of it each time. It is wonderful that the Bible is a living book!

God Bless

Thank you so much for the visit:-) I so much enjoy reading your blog.

I know what you mean. Kc and I used to talk about what was read and shared our perspectives on it. We both got something different out of it and by sharing we came to a better understanding as well. There is wisdom in the counsel of many:-)

God's Grace.

As a brunette, I am very familiar with those feelings. Maybe I was meant to be blonde ;)

Haha, I guess "blonde moments" are not exclusively for blondes, huh? Shew...whiping my forehead:-)

Brunette or blonde, I like you either way:-)

Glad to see you're back. I was starting to get worried, thought perhaps you were ill.

i have read passages in the Bible over and over again, but there are times when after reading that same verse, it hit me like "hey! here's your answer." i agree with kristi that the Bible is a living book.

Thanks for the visit and the comment. You are right, having faith in Him is what we need and have to give Him.

And we agree, as Kristi said, The Bible is the living Book. And...the living Word:-)

Gina:

That's encouraging, Gina, haha. Oh well, I guess I go from "being blonde" to "silly old fool" then;-)
Something one can absolutely not say about you!

God's Grace.
