Actively Relaxing
There are not many sports which are so appealing to me that I would like to practice them, but swimming has always been one of the few I loved to do. Having a pool in our back yard would be a dream come true, although the thought of constantly having to chase the dogs out of it is not. An indoor Swim Spa would be ideal.
I have seen them being advertised on TV several times and a swim spa would be perfect. The advantage of not having to schedule when to go and driving all the way to the pool is a time and money saver. I would be more inclined to 'swim a few laps' each day then going through all that trouble. Therefore, Swim Spas would be an excellent solution.
Aside from the recreational aspect, they are extremely therapeutic as well. Swimming is good for the joints; it does not put any pressure on them and keeps the strength of the muscles up. For someone with RA, Arthritis or an Arthritis related condition, it is very important to maintain some level of activity and a water treadmill is more enjoyable to me then the common, boring treadmill.
Health wise, being active is beneficial all the way around. My work requires a lot of sitting down and after a few, busy days I can feel it in my back. It gets stiff and sore; an indicator I need more movement and I usually get busy with domestic chores. Those are not my all time favorite, but they do the trick. It can not all be about work though and this aquatic therapy equipment is sounding more and more like the ultimate relaxation to me.
