Allergies and Honey

Coughing, sneezing and sinus drainage have been plaguing us for weeks now. It is allergy due to all the pollen in the air. On several occasions I saw huge, yellow clouds of pollen fly through the air in the back yard whenever there was a breeze.

It has been dry for so long now and unless we get some rain, that pollen would have kept bothering us. Would have, were it not for the fact that one of our dear friends gave us a great tip which would help against the allergies; a tablespoon of honey in the morning and one at night.

For a sweet tooth like me, that is no punishment at all. I also like a natural remedy much better then all the chemical medications. It was definitely worth a try and we started that regime this morning, with astonishing results already!

Both our coughing is a lot less, my sinuses have hardly been draining and we both felt like our airways were no longer restricted. That is amazing and it made me wonder about all the other health benefits honey might have.

Yeah, you guessed it: inquiring minds need to know and I will share with you as soon as I have completed my research. It is always interesting to learn something new. With it come some more knowledge and understanding and the hope for a happier life.

Sometimes, things we have read before suddenly are being made clear. Even knowledge which seems unimportant at the moment might may turn out to be invaluable in the future. God has a time and a place for everything! :-)

Proverbs 24:13-14
13 My son, eat honey because it is good, And the honeycomb which is sweet to your taste; 14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul; If you have found it, there is a prospect, And your hope will not be cut off.
