Alternatives For Lactose Intolerance

Good morning! I hope your day is off to a good start, but a lot of that is in your own hands. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It is not only good for speeding up your metabolism, but I also read that those who skip breakfast are more at risk of having a heart attack.

I for one used to start the day with a glass of milk and a bowl of cereal. That somehow changed over the years and got replaced by a cup of coffee and no breakfast. I am not sure how that happened. I suspect it is due to getting up so early and not being hungry yet.

There are a lot of downsides to skipping breakfast. Any meal for that matter, and I have no excuse for doing so. Unlike 30 to 50 million Americans, I am not lactose intolerant and I can use all the calcium dairy products provide.

In case you are battling lactose intolerance, you don't have to do without the dairy products. You may want to look into all the alternatives to cow's milk. You may be surprised to discover how great the choice in plant-based milk is.

Almond, coconut, hemp, oat, rice, and soy milk are just a few of the available options. Agreed, their taste is a little different from cow's milk, but they are just as nutritious and you will have no problems using them for baking and desserts.

Another good way is to begin your day with prayers and taking God's word to heart. Don't forget to count your blessings, and you are off to a great start!

1 Peter 2:2
as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
