Alleviating Knee Pain

When Rheumatoid Arthritis was trying to get the best of me it got to the point where walking was sheer agony and almost impossible. Slowly but surely the disease had settled in my feet and ankles and started to wreak havoc on my knees. I had to think about every step I took in order to avoid loosing my balance and taking a fall.

When the pain gets to the point where it limits your mobility you realize how much you have taken it for granted. It is true; you don't know what you have until you loose it or are inhibited from using it. That doesn't mean you have to accept the fact that life has given you a lemon and that there is nothing you can do about it.

You can do something about it. There are some good exercises to strengthen the muscles around the painful knee joints. Even when you are not dealing with RA, but are suffering from wear and tear, making the surrounding muscles stronger will take the tension of the joints and alleviate the pain.

The best thing to do is consult your doctor before you start any work-out routine. When he gives you the green light, the exercises which I will share with you in my next post will be ideal to strengthen the muscles around your knee joints and ensure less pain. So, stay tuned.

Although it may not always seem like it, there is a solution to everything. Sometimes it is quite obvious, sometimes we don't know which way to turn or what to do. The latter requires patience and faith. God will show and when He does we want to make sure we can get on our knees to praise and thank Him!

Job 4:4
