Perfect Hands

Hands can tell a lot about a person's health. They didn't have to point that out to me, because I am already fully aware of that. My hands clearly show the signs of severe RA. My fingers have grown outward to a point where I could steal around a corner, as I always jokingly say.

All joking aside though, studies have proven that the length of your fingers is a good indicator when it comes to the revelation whether you could be at risk for some conditions and diseases or not.

Measure your index and your ring finger from the lowest crease starting at the palm of your hand to the tip of your finger and use the following ration: 2D:4D (2=index finger, 4=ring finger).

When your index finger is smaller than your ring finger (lower 2D:4D ratio), you are more likely to end up with knee osteoarthritis. A higher ratio could mean a higher risk for developing prostate or breast cancer.

Swollen fingers are an indicator of a too salty diet or dehydration. In combination with stiffness, you could be dealing with RA, hypothyroidism, low albumen or protein, connective tissue disease, or systemic sclerosis.

In case you experience swollen fingers along with pain and stiffness in their joints, it would be wise to consult an internist or rheumatologist.

It may come down to treating and easing the pain and symptoms. Some of our health issues are still not cureable, but every bit of relief helps.

It is the same with any other issue we encounter during our life. Some problems are solved quick and easy, but to others there may not seem to be a solution. It is best to place those, including yourself, in God's hands.

His hands are perfect!

John 10:29
My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
